After yet another stylish and heartbreaking episode of Open House NYC I have come to the conclusion that regardless of gender, as humans, we all want to be in a nice space. Why do men carve out their individual perfect game rooms or dens? Why do women want a lavish bedroom and master bathroom with all the proper fluff and stuff? Why does ambiance (which definitely depends on design elements) play such a crucial role when taking a date out to dinner... or bringing them home? No matter how many men or even women say that interior design is "irrelevant girly stuff," at the end of the day they have to admit, they would rather be in a mansion than a crap shack.
